The first quarter of 2019 has flown by and, in just three months, the best offers on the dealer forecourts have once again changed. With new favourites and attractive deals to be had, what are the hottest second-hand cars on the market right now?
The Jaguar XE
Looking for a solid all-rounder that offers style and unbeatable performance for a good price? The Jaguar XE is perfect for you.
Used executive cars provide premium driving experiences at bargain prices and you can bag yourself an XE that’s done around 75,000 for just £12,000 or, for a few quid more, you can grab a higher-spec model with even fewer miles. The motor boasts responsive steering, rear-wheel drive and a smooth diesel engine.
Looking for an SUV but don’t want to go all out? The Nissan Qashqai is the best in its class, offering up an adequate, medium size, spacious cabin along with techy bonuses such as parking sensors and Bluetooth and a digestible price tag of £7,000.
And for an extra bonus? The 1.5 litre dCi turbo-diesel engine only emits 99g/km of CO2, making it tax free.
Another Nissan on the list, the Leaf, is by far the best electric available in the second-hand market right now. With prices from £6,250, you can help to save the planet while enjoying economical motoring. Also, as most previous owners of these eco-mobiles haven’t travelled long distance with them, you’ll probably find one with less than 20,000 on the clock.
The cheapest one on the list is the Vauxhall Insignia. You can buy it for a mere £990! The engines are economical and the interior boasts loads of space for growing families with a large boot space and expansive rear seating.
Want something more luxurious? Mercedes S Class will provide you with good value for money when you think about the advanced tech and comfort that it comes with. The average price is around £17,000, but a smooth ride is guaranteed along with power and plenty of breathing room thanks to the long wheelbase.
There’s plenty of great value cars on the market right now but, if you’re looking for one of these models, you’d better move quickly as they’re screeching off dealership forecourts faster than they’re arriving.
